Software update server index file name

in /usr/share/swupd/html there is a file called: index.sucatalog.apple but it 'seems' for what-ever reason, to need to be called index.sucatalog see if its called index.sucatalog.apple, then the softwareupdate -l returns: 006-08-10 17:50:18.188 softwareupdate[308] Loading CatalogURL http://foo.bar.com:8088/index.sucatalog 2006-08-10 17:50:18.253 softwareupdate[308] loader:didFailWithError:NSError "Error NSURLErrorDomain -1100" Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1100 UserInfo={ NSErrorFailingURLStringKey = "http://testapple.cambridgeantibody.com:8088/index.sucatalog"; where as if you remove the .apple its works.. ? confused... yes i am.. advise please!
