I’m just curious how many other small users out there who will be bitten by Snow Leopard’s Intel-only release.

In my case, I’m running Leopard Server on a G5/2ghz DP desktop with a SATA card and a total of 4x500gb drives (2xRAID 1 mirrored…). That very nicely supports my home/small office and my (non-profit) web presence.

The problem with any Mac other than a Mac Pro is the inability to add more drives internally, or an ESATA controller.

So this”cat will bite me pretty hard when it comes out, even if it were a free upgrade (which is unlikely…)

Uh, are you going to be forced to upgrade? Is your copy of Leopard suddenly going to disappear when Snow Leopard comes out?
