Should current hostname and DNS HostName match exactly, including upper and lower case?

Newbie question on MacMini Server (SLS) setup: I've gone through the guided setup for and the server is appearing fine on my home network. VNC remote login works fine, the client-based Workgroup Manager and Server Admin tools work fine, but I wonder if I've got the DNS setup right. When I do checkhostname, I get primary address: 192.168.1.11 Current Hostname: familynet.home DNS HostName: FamilyNet.home does it matter that one is lowercase and the other is Uppler/lowercase? Just wanting to make sure everything is OK before I blithely set up more users, directories, and services...
