Hello it’s me again, one last problem, and its mostly due to my newness to OSX, and my limited scripting knowledge. Basically I am having problems running the script to load in user shortnames and create home folders, and I keep getting unexpected end of files errors on the line after the last one (mine is line 115 and the last fi is on line 114, I copied it directly from the pdf (removing the page numbers and the headers of the document that came with it) Am I supposed to edit this script more than setting the vars to match my system? I have currently looked through shell scripting tutorials and text editors for any debug info which helped with other problems but unfortunately not this one.

If anyone can answer this or point me somewhere that could be of some help that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
I have the same issue with the script. I also copied the script from the pdf, removing page numbers and headers. I saved the script as createhome. When I call it, I get this:

    OSXTESTSERVER:~ admin$ Desktop/createhome
Desktop/createhome: line 117: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `”‘
Desktop/createhome: line 120: syntax error: unexpected end of file

    Any suggestions would be great.
