I have my 10.3 server running PPTP VPN. I’m able to connect to it with my XP laptop, but not able to connect to other XP machines inside my network via Remote Desktop Connection. I’m getting a “remote connections might not be enabled” error message.
The XP client machine I’m trying to connect to has a static ip address with subnet 255.255.255.0. The weird this is, when I do an IP config with my XP laptop, the VPN settings its giving me has a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255. Will that stop me from connecting to my XP client machines? How can I change the subnet mask in 10.3 VPN to read 255.255.255.0?
I thought it might be port issues in my firewall as well, so I opened up TCP 3389 in my firewall, pointing it to my XP client machines, but I still am unable to connect via Remote Desktop.
Any ideas?
