Panther Server Pre-install questions…

I'm finally getting ready to move to Panther Server. But a couple of questions. The manual recommends using case-sensitive HFS+, any advantages? Also, I'm assuming that a "stand-alone" Server is not used on as a OD server, and a OD Master is what I want for my small network? Thanks.
