Got an interesting issue, that probably isn’t serious, but is a bit annoying.

I have an OD Master that acts as a secondary MDC for an Xsan setup. Because of this, it has a public network interface, and a metadata interface. And because of this, the OD Server sees both the public and private interface as interfaces to serve OD info over, including replica info. If I setup another Xsan client to be a replica, it sets up to replicate over both the public and metadata network.

So, anyone have any idea if I can safely just remove the metadata interface info from the config->passwordserver, config->ldapreplicas, and /var/db/authserver/authserverreplicas ?

Not sure if that’ll actually fix the “problem”, even if it does work. But it seems like you should be able to tell OD to (not) use specific interfaces.

    Thanks!
