Dear Admins
I found a problem with Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 clients trying to connect to shares on a Mac OS X 10.3 server.
With clients before 10.5, there was only one instance for mounting shares from a Mac OS X Server. It was the Finder command “Connect to Server”.
With 10.5 and 10.6 you can connect to the Server in any open Finder window through the button “Connect as” if you hit the Server in the list of shares. I found out just now, that this command doesn’t connect to the Mac OS X Server with AFP but with SMB.
My question is now, if it is possible to change this behavior through hidden settings or through the terminal.
Thank you ind advance for anyones help and tips.
Kind regards from Switzerland
