Integrating Leopard Server with AD

I am trying to integrate Leopard Server 10.5.6 into an AD environment (magic triangle). When I set it up I could authenticate user accounts on client machines using AD credentials but not OD credentials. Every time I used an OD account I received a message that said the account was unavailable. I am thinking of demoting the server to a Standalone server and then re-premoting to an OD master. Once that happens I would try to authenticate a client using an OD account. I would then bind the Server to AD and attempt to authenticate with AD credentials. Is this a good move? Can anyone offer some help with this. I am really stuck right now because I work in mainly at PC environment but I have people using some Leopard Server services and they are using their AD accounts to access them.
