I am stumped. I am testing Lion server OD replication. I installed 10.7.2 server on two machines and I have discovered the process for creating a master and replica has changed and possibly stuff more fundamental in how Open Directory is structured?

When I setup the ODM there was a new requirement to give an OU and CA Admin Email when setting up the ODM. The replication process asks for Domain Admin credentials, the CA admin email and does not request the ODM’s root credential. The ODM sets up OK and authenticates users. Kerberos functions as expected. (My efforts to create a replica result in the assistant quitting with no dialog or crash reporting.)

    From the man page:
slapconfig -createreplica [–certAdminEmail ]

Create a new replica from an existing LDAP master
I haven’t found any documentation beyond the man page.

Partially this is an FYI, partially a sanity check (was I living under a rock and didn’t know it??) and partially asking for help to get the master / replica thing going.

    Thanks!
