One of my more direct questions, can/should I pull the packages for iLife ’11 off the MacBook Air’s restore key? And if so, what caveats should I be aware of.

    Hey mgb,

I’d get the mpkg off of other iLife install media if possible, even though the mpkg should work without issue. I will also be updating the iLife2010_vanilla.catalog for this tomorrow.

Hey mgb, I misspoke regarding this. It’s not a mpkg, and the guide posted over on osxdeployment.com worked for me. Take a look over there and let us know how it works for you. Thanks, Allister

Allister- I ran through the edits listed on OXDep but wasn’t sure how to incorporate the result into my build.

Looks like I’m left with a revised iLife.pkg, and a subfolder full of additional packages. Should I drop them all in my build? Should I put them into another catalog file? I’m just unsure exactly of what the iLife pkg edits did for me, and unsure how to incorporate those packages from the install disc into my build- manually or otherwise…
