First, this is my first server, so hopefully this doesn’t end up being a basic issue I’ve overlooked. I was setting up my clients’ accounts via my laptop today, working on the dock preferences. I don’t have the same programs on the laptop as what I was setting up for the clients, so I figured the easiest way to add them via WGM would be to afp in to one of my clients so I could just add the program that way. However, (obviously, in retrospect) when I logged into a different client than the one I afp’d to when setting it up, the dock icon was looking for the program back on the other client. I fixed it easily enough by going into the Details and changing the paths, but that can get annoying in the long run. What’s the easiest way to add programs/files onto the dock when you don’t have access to the exact file location locally?
    Thanks.

not trying to sound flippant but:
    google
if you are uncertain of a path and dont have access to it…. look it up.
