I imported about 120 user accounts into Workgroup Manager via Passenger and now the old accounts that were already there cannot login from the client machines but the new accounts can. The only existing account that works is diradmin. I have created another new account directly in workgroup manager and it can’t login.

How exactly did you import them? If you inspect the raw data of a user account that doesn’t work and compare it to one that does work do you see any differences? Negative UIDs, or FQDN paths changed for home directories, or anything like that?

You can enable inspector from WGM preferences.

I did not see any differences. I imported using Passenger which sets everything for you and exports to a format that is easily imported to Workgroup Manager.

if you log into a working account on one machine and then a non working account on the same machine what do the system logs tell you? Anything?

I can only suspect the import had conflicting data on it, maybe it was assigning them the same UID or something which disabled the old account?

No, different UIDs on the accounts. I ran into the problem before with users not getting logged in because of a home folder problem and this looks the same but the home folders are all there and access is the same as the rest.
