Well I have just had 1.5 days of hell with Kerebos…
I started with 10.5 and upgraded to 10.5.6 before configuring anything…
all works DNS Fine checked with Changeip and host etc…
    Kerebos does not start…
Reinstalled but this time configured DNS only at 10.5 (Apple suggested this) then upgraded to 10.5.6 before configuring anything else…
    Still does not work…

Kerberised the OS using slapd…. Worked Kerebos working on a configured Open Directory…
but although you could login locally as any OD client and load the desktop you could not do this from a seperate machine and this is without kerberising the login of the OD client….

broken network… No the old 10.4 installation works fine for login of OD Clients…

I destroyed the Open Directory and Kerebos failed on Making the server an OD master again….

what is going on here, kerebos should just work if DNS is OK I forced a Kerebos config with slapd and it worked but failed again when I took down and remade the server as an OD Master…

Has anyone got any clues ???

I have never had This much trouble before….

server XServe G5 2.0 Ghz 2 GB RAM

    Thanks…
