    I have some OD managed clients (about 3000 laptops) and working on an updated image for them. It had the earlier version of Perian video codecs installed and that seemed to run fine. However, when I update it to Perian 1.1.1, I now get the message that it’s not allowed to run… When I open iTunes, or go to a web page with embedded media or even the QuickTime Player.

    I’ve tried adding the Perian preference pane into WGM Applications, and even gone into the preference pane and found some unix executables that I’ve added manually, but neither seems to help.

    Any ideas?

    Stupid me, just found it – had to go into /library/QuickTime/Perian.component/Contents/MacOS/Perian and add THAT Perian to the WGM allowed apps.
