they have finally instituted forced password expirations and rollovers in AD – in so doing my Mac users are getting screwed – once the webform is used to update the password – AD happily takes the change and passes to the macs but it doesn’t update the login keychain –
so when users log in – they get harangued over passwords in keychains…

I see that there is a utility here called Keychain Minder – but it is over 2 years old…

it still seems to work – but is there a way to automate the process or getting an update to Keychain Minder (is one really needed?) – what with intel processors and 10.5 (either/both of which were in short supply when Keychain Minder hit version 1.3)

    Thoughts?

Any chance that 1.4 will be released soon, Joel?

I tried keychain minder recently and it quietly quits when my login keychain is unlocked. It prompts me to update the login keychain password when it is locked due to an AD password change. So far so good. However when I try to change it to my new AD password (which I just used to log in to the mac) it insists, erroneously, that the new keychain password doesn’t match my login password. The password contains only upper and lower case alpha characters and numbers. I’m using Keychain Minder 1.3 on a macBook Pro running OS 10.5.2. Any suggestions?

    Thank you SO much!
I don’t know why Apple hasn’t addressed this, but I thank you for this.
