    Hi everyone,

    I’m currently testing 10.5 server with my Win2003 server AD users. I’ve bond to the Active directory and can manage the users just find. The problem is that i can not get 10.5 server to create the user folders to my ADUsers/Home Dir folder located on the Leopard server. The users that were created/housed in OD works fine. It will create the folder when i log in with OD user but the will not create the folders for users housed in AD. In 10.4 server works great. Oh yeah, i used OD to house the Automount record for ADUsers/Home Dir.

    I’ve tried reinstalling the server to see if it was a corruption in a config file during startup. Same issue. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    ok i missed a step.

    If the home dir volume is on a separate Volume other than the root or in a directory within a directory, a symbolic link has to be created on the root directory.
    Use the command “ln -s” to create the link.

    example:
    ln -s /Volumes/HomeDir/ADUsers /ADUsers

    How did you managed that? Ive followed both Bombich and AFP548 papers and still no luck. I have one Windows 2003 SBS and one 10.4 Server. I need to login with the AD credentials and have Network Home folders.

    Well. I have one volume on my OD Server (Tiger). I have created a folder for hosting the Homes. Shared it through WGM as home folders place. Then created Groups of AD accounts. In the WK3 Server, I set the Home tab of this user to \\odserver.mydomain.local\Homes\aduser. In WGM I set some managed prefs

    The computer binds, the user logins, but no Network Home folder, and cannot manage the Sync prefs through System prefs.

    Shall I put the symbolic link?

    Any help appreciated…
