    Hi everyone,

I created an Open Directory master. DNS is running on the server, I can do a forward and reverse lookup and all that fun stuff. I created 2 network accounts and am able to successfully bind a computer to the directory. It shows up in Authentication and contacts in Directory Services. There is a separate server that controls DNS, and this server (Open Directory master) doesn’t control any zones, doesn’t do zone transfers. Doesn’t do much of anything with DNS – I just want it to be able to point to itself.

However I am unable to unbind the computer – it says that it can’t contact the LDAP server, would I like to force this action?

Also network accounts are unavailable on the (so far) two machines I’ve bound.

The OD master is on a different subnet from the clients machines. I don’t think that should have any impact though…

    HELP!

Are you able to login into either of those workstations with the OD admin account, or server administrator account?

I have the same problem, everything works great, but I’m not able to login to the machines with a network user account, but the administrator account works fine. However I can unbind without error.
