We use Websense to provide content filtering throughout the organization I work in. We are predominantly a Windows XP SP2 shop running about 5-10% Mac OS X 10.4 boxes. There have been articles upon articles how to integrate Mac OS X with AD either through OD or directly. With obvious pitfalls. Anyway, I need to find a solution make our Macs play well with Websense. Sadly, Websense is a content filtering engine that blocks all Internet traffic unless the machine is properly authenticated against Active Directory. So far though, when I bind an OS X machine to Active Directory, Websense does not get the authentication information it needs to allow traffic.

I contacted Websense, but their solution is to turn Keberos off on the Windows 2003 Domain Controllers which is a non-starter for obvious reasons. I am seeking anyone out who has had successful integration of Macs into a Websense environment and information on how they achieved successful integration.

    thanks in advance,
