Hope this is the right forum…

I need to move an existing server to a different location and IP address. For some reason I have this mentally flagged as a potential disaster. Once upon a time, I seem to recall, changing something as basic as the IP address required a complete reinstall. This was pre-Tiger.

Current configuration is as a standalone server: filesharing, mail, FTP, Apache and QTSS.

Is this still a minefield? Are there any things that should be done ahead of time? Any warnings, tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Just make sure you use the “changeip” command, you NEED to use this if you change IP’s.
