Hi, I have a reasonable level of experience setting up Mac OS X Server in a 100% mac environment, however, have a school who has a mixed platform and need to replace their Win 2000 server. When we looked at the specs of the servers on offer, i.e. Windows and Mac, the Xserve seemed the best value from a hardware perpective. I am not sure on how well a Mac server can manage PC clients, the macs will be fine.

    1. Any suggestions on what can and can not be done with this type of setup?
    2. Any suggestions on simple resources to help set this up?
    3. Our plan is to have boot camp running on any new macs that come into the school so that the students can run both Win or Mac depending on their needs, however, wants them to access the same account on the server regardless of their operating system choice. Any things I need to be aware of?

Thanks and looking forward to some helpful responses.

    Cheers

We have a similar set up and have not encountered any problems. Do you have something specific that concerns you?
