    Hi,

I have a window 2003 server running AD, and an OSX 10.4.4 server running OD

I have bound my 10.3.9 client to the AD, and can login using AD accounts. The homedrive is mounting the path set in the AD users account correctly.

I have joined the 10.3.9 client to the OD using directory access, and have created a computer group in the OD with a few preferences. I have added the MAC address of the 10.3.9 machine to the computer list on the OD.

My problem is that the preferences set in the computer list are not being applied to the users environment eg the dock is not forced to the one specified on the server.

I followed the AD-OD interagtion paper from this site (nice job on that by the way Smile )

Any help with my problem will be greatly appreciated

    Travis

    Hi

The users are only members of the “Domain Users” and “students” (a group I created)

I have not imported users from the AD to the OD, as I am not interested in per user management. As long as the mac picks up MCX settings from the computer list I’ll be happy Smile

    Cheers

    Travis

Are you sure your mac os x client is bound to the open directory master? Believe it or not, automount can work even if the client is not bound! Show us your evidence (via dscl) that your client-master relationship is ok.
