I recently promoted our server to an OD master from Standalone. L2TP VPN used to be working fine with a shared secret and the local NetInfo users. However, now no one is able to connect. There is nothing in the logs even regarding a connection attempt (checked system logs, firewall logs, VPN logs, and all the OD-affiliated logs). No changes have been made to the firewall since the promotion, so it shouldn’t be that. The only changes made to the clients have been to bind them using Directory Access.

I’ve tried rebooting the system, disabling, rebooting, then re-doing the L2TP set up, and changing user passwords to no avail. OS is 10.4.2.

Anyone out there have suggestions? I seem to remember an article on this site regarding something similar, but can’t find it.
