I would like to create 1,500 accounts from a text file of names. How can I import this into OS X server?

That’s all well and good, but under Workgroup Manager, in my LDAPv3 node, import is greyed out. From the command line, I get Auth err = -14177 when I try to import from a file using dsimport. Getting dizzy here. I authenticate to the LDAP node using the diradmin account and password just fine. When I use the same password from the command line, it doesn’t work. I get this lovely error: Aug 27 09:46:05 students DirectoryService[57]: DSLDAPv3PlugIn: Required Policies not Supported: No ClearText, Man-In-The-Middle. LDAP Connection for Node 127.0.0.1 denied.

OK, nevermind. I finally got all my passwords synched and dropped the security levels. That allowed me to begin trying the import. However, now I am getting the message: Aug 27 10:48:54 students DirectoryService[57]: GSSAPI Error: Miscellaneous failure (Server not found in Kerberos database). Now, the question becomes… how can a server be a kdc and not be in the kerberos database is hosts? Any ideas?

As for the “Server not found in Kerberos Db” error. Are all OD services running (Server Admin)? Did you add server records for OD master and all replicas (Machine records in WGM)? Look here to make sure server records exist in your Db, records should exist for each service:

    $sudu kadmin.local
    listprincs
