Hi- I am trying to use a bootable image I created from one server on another- in preparation for copying this image over, I am trying to erase the destination server. The destination server is xserve G5 running osx server 10.4.2 with mirrored RAID set. When I go into disk utility to delete the raid set, which I assume I should do so that I can copy my image over and then recreate the raid set, the delete option is greyed out and there is a little lock next to each element of the set. I can add but not subtract.

The clone I created is from an identical machine, but that doesn’t matter b/c I haven’t gotten to that part yet. Just trying to erase the destination machine.

Should this be done another way in 10.4.2?

Also- tried using diskutil destroyraid but i get that the disk is not the master, but i have tried on both disks thast are the result of checkraid? I supply the disknode to the command diskutil destroyraid disk0s4 for example.

Indeed, I am trying to destroy the hard drive I’m booted from. I meant to be the FW. Embarassing. THanks
