i noticed this yesterday and installed the latest version 0.80 without problems.

    first uninstall clamav 0.7.x –
    make uninstall
    make distclean
i would also delete the old databases in /usr/share/clamav or /usr/local/share/clamav, depending on your installation.

    download the newest version 0.8.x
    ./configure –prefix=/usr –mandir=/usr/share/man –sysconfdir=/etc
    make
    sudo make install

note: take a look in the /docs/macosx/ also Smile

I can find the uninstall file in clamav0.75.1. Where can I go to uninstall clamav0.75.1?

I was wondering if this process was the same if one has the setup from the Updated Spam/Virus Filtering article here. (ie amavisd-new, spamassassin, clamav, running on 10.3.8 Server)

Reviewing the article, there was a bit with getting a perl module for clamav. Does anyone know if that needs to be updated as well? One hopes not; I seem to recall that CPAN wasn’t working too well on that machine…

And, thus is why you preview your post… 0.8.5, not 5.5… Nice one, me.

Just got 10.3.8 working. I’m not touching 10.4 until it’s a bit more mature. And until I have to.
