I’m not sure if this is OD related or not yet, but maybe someone here can help. On one particular G5, when logged in as an OD user, the GUI frequently freezes. The only recourse is to hard boot it. I have not been able to reproduce the problem when logged in under a local account. Oddly, there are other G5s configured identically that don’t display this behavior.
Once the GUI freezes, I’m still able to ssh into the machine. A look in the windowserver.log file reveals:
Oct 13 15:01:21 [173] kCGErrorIllegalArgument: CGXPostEventByConnection: invalid connection
Oct 13 15:03:20 [173] (ipc/send) invalid memory: CGXRunOneServerPass: mach_msg (gServiceSet) failed
Oct 13 15:04:47 [173] kCGErrorFailure: CGXDisableUpdate: UI updates were forcibly disabled by application “Dock” for over 1 second. Server has re-enabled them.
At the time of the 15:01:21 entry, the GUI was still functioning. It’s the 15:03:20 entry where things freeze. I should note that this is a Managed Mobile user account. I’ve deleted this managed account from the local machine and created a new one, but that did not make a difference. Any ideas?
Thanks
CM
