AD plugin is supposed to read the value of the home drive and mount the share via SMB (as of 10.3.3). I ALSO have Extreme Z IP installed. Something is not right, tho, since I do not get the homdir in the dock. I CAN connect to it as an SMB share. Hmm…

using dscl I don’t see any “homeDirectory” values. I do see it when I go to the AD machine and do a ldifde however.

Anyone know why I don’t see this?

    Thanks

The attributes for homeDir might not be readable to the computer accounts. You might try “delegating” control to “Domain Computers” to have read access to “computer objects”, and “user objects” and their corresponding attributes. If you upgraded from NT, didn’t select “allow pre windows 2000 access”, or are just plain not allowing read access to those attributes, the AD plugin will not be able to read them.
