I am running a test setup for authentication against a Windows 2003 AD Domain from Panther Server 10.3.4.

I have been able to successfully join and bind to the AD domain using Active Directory and LDAP services thru Directory Access. Both services are also added under Authentication and Contacts. Furthermore I have tried the klist command and can get tickets for users.

In Workgroup Manager if I try to pick Active Directory as a Directory Node and click OK, nothing happens, i can only cancel out of that page. How do I get this to work?

However in Workgroup Manager I can choose LDAPv3 from Directory Node. This works and I get the user list and groups. But the groups from 2k3 AD have no members in them. Are there any simple attributes to change in the schema on Directory Assistance to allow this to work? I am not interested in the home folders, printers, etc. Just want to get the Users and Groups from 2k3 AD.

I have read the groups work using the AD plugin, yet I am not sure how to test this or get it to work
