The problem is that the router uses a part of ipsec that no one else uses. The other problem is that until now, the router did not support any other method. With the help of Symantec, we got the router working with a Mac. We were able to replicate this on multiple macs and it still works.
Few problems:
1) the firmware is in beta and not available to the public
2) a recent Apple security upgrade seems to have broken vaporsec (still looking into this)
3) the process is a bit out of the ordinary (have to use email address instead of username, etc)
I’ll let you know more when I get more info. I would love to see the code for VaporSec. I would have no problems maintaining it to upgrade it for all the MacOS releases.
