I’m running the dhcp server on osx server 10.2.4, and have configured it to serve out static reservations (with the host entries in netinfo). Unfortunately, when serving out those reserved addresses, it neglects to give a default route to those clients. The clients without reservations receive the default route just fine. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

It shouldn’t matter, but this machine is also running as a nat router (thanks mactroll for the tuts!), and has two ethernet cards- one builtin, and one dec tulip chipset card (generic kingston iirc).

Also, is there any way to add arbitrary key/value pairs to be handed out to clients? curious..

    cheers,

i am deploying a slew of osx x serves and would like to know exactly how one goes about setting up DHCP reservations for static assignment. i would like to make sure that my printers are getting the same dhcp address each time they boot up so that i can manage the addresses from net info. how do i set this up. this will make migration to another subnet much easier in the future if everything is controlled by dhcp. thanks.
