Hey all, i’m trying to install OS X Server onto a brand new(been out of the box for under 4 days) dual 1.25. But the computer won’t boot off the CD, The computer shipped with OS X.2.4 and the server is X.2.

    Anyone have any ideas

we tryed that and it didn’t give us the option in Startup disk to start up using the OS that we just installed.

i’ll go and look at the kbase,

    starup from the hard drive
then put the cd in and double click on the cd.
there is a alias/symlink to “Install Mac OS X” that pops up a screen that asks you to click on the restart button. That will change the startup disk to the cd and reboot the machine and start the installer when it comes back up.
