In the article “Keeping your CUPS from running” over, a method using lpadmin is described to limit the number of pages printed. I have tried this method on 2 Mac OS X.2.x machines (client and server), but with no results. Printing was never disabled after exceeding the maximum allowed amount of pages. The online CUPS documentation goes in some details, but offers no solution. I tried with a Apple Personal LaserWriter 320, an Epson C70 and an Epson Stylus Color 3000 – no effect. Coouls someone post a working command line, or any other information or suggestion? I have looking via google and newsgroups, but have found nothing of interest there. I am clearly missing something obvious, but am stuck at this for days now.

    Any help is grearly appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    stef
