Vista Business client wont bind to 10.6.4 server
Hi guys,
After much time on the phone to Apple Support they have pointed me here!! Good to know that when the trained guys can't fix it, they send you out to the real community of users! Haha...
I have a Vista Business machine running SP2. I have fixed the "Local Security Policy" settings as mentioned on the Apple Support article, and have spent an hour on the phone going over settings with Support.
Here are the things I CAN do.
- I can create an SMB connection and mount a drive via SMB on my OSX client (suggesting SMB services are running properly on the server)
- I can see that my server is showing as the default server when I do a "nslookup" on the Vista client
- I can browse the network and all shared drives via teh Vista Client
BUT - I cant join the domain!!!
When I try I get one of 2 messages
1. I try and join using an LDAP username and password and get - "unknown username or bad password"
2. I try and join using the server admin account and I get - "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service"
Can anyone point me in the right direction?!
The only other clients I have in the office are Windows 7, and that is a whole other headache!!
Thanks!
