using SWAT to configure samba

I edited the inetd.conf and services files in /etc the same way as I did in OS X Client and under Server I get a weird error whenb trying to use samba. http://localhost:901 returns an error : 400 Server Error chdir failed - the server is not configured correctly. It is configured on Mac OS X server the same way it is on Mac OS X client yet it will not work. Any clues? Thanks Steffan
