Using Leopard Server Install DVD to reset diradmin’s password?

I am aware of being able to use an OS installation DVD for resetting admin passwords, when booting from that DVD. When doing this with the Leopard Server installation DVD does this extend to the local administrator only, or does this work with the Open Directory administrator user ID, as well?
