third party app authentication through Password Server

> crossposted: Q&A > crossposted: Open Directory Is it possible for third party applications to use the Password Server for authentication? I'm developing a web application that runs on the Xserve. I'm developing it in Virtuoso (http://www.openlinksw.com/virtuoso/index.htm), which has an integrated LDAP client (http://demo.openlinksw.com:8890/doc/html/ldap.html#ldap). I won't take up your time on the actual integration itself, but could you tell me if it's possible, and if so, point me in the right direction (docs, etc.)? All Apple could come up with is 'go to developer.apple.com'. There's a million documents up there, and the search engine doesn't work too well, so finding such a needle in the haystack is impossible.
