System Imaging

I'm trying to setup a NetInstall image for Intel iMacs, but when running the image creation software it reports that "there was an error creating the disk image". The server has made other images successfully and the HDD hosting the source is 500GB. I was able to successfully create the image before I installed Final Cut Studio, which also made the source size about 50GB. Is there a limit of the size of the source? Does Final Cut put something that prohibits imaging?
