Squirrelmail and LDAP

I can't seem to get Squirrelmail to hook up to Mac OS X Server's LDAP. I've entered the correct Search Base which matches the details in Apple Address Book and ldapbrowser which work perfectly. Any tips from someone who has got this working? Thanks!
