Hi... Been lurking here for a while... I have recently recovered from the Security Update 2005-003 fiasco... and currently only have one scar to show for it.
Prior to the Sec Upd I was able to authenticate using CRAM-MD5 when sending mail through my 10.3.8 mail server.
The update killed the mailbox store, Cyrus, and it seems Postfix.
I can currently check mail using MD5 authentication, but sending to a domain that is not hosted on my box is not possible.
If I try with MD5 turned on in my client it says that the server does not support MD5
When I try with plaintext passwords it says the server does not support authentication.
When I try with no passwords it refuses to relay the message (as it should be)
I don't remember if I had to do anything beyond checking the boxes in the Server Admin program to set up SMTP authentication when I originally set this box up... but either way, I suspect that the Sec Upd replaced something that is now configured not to support various forms of authentication.
What do I need to do?
Thanks for your help
