Shared Applications Automount

Does anyone use this feature? (This being one of the auto-mount options in WGM.) I would assume it is restricted to one launch at a time, correct? I don't mean legal restrictions, I mean technological ones. If it allowed multiple launches with only one install of an application, that seems useful. If not, what's it there for?
