Server accounts decide to move

Not sure if this is a DNS issue, LDAP or something else, but workgroup manager shows the account locations to be in places other than where they are supposed to be - they appear to be moving around. Here's the setup: 10.3.3 server on a G5 with several multihomed IP addresses on en0. Say I set up the server on 192.168.1.27 when it only has one IP address. Everything is fine. Workgroup manager shows the account location as 192.168.1.27/LDAPv3.my.server.com. Once I start adding more IP addresses to en0, the account location shown in workgroup manager moves to random addresses I have configured, such as: 192.168.99.27/LDAPv3.my.server.com. I can't quite put my finger on the problem. Any ideas what is causing it or how to make it stop? Home directory locations under the HOME tab also show the new locations.
