I'm doing my CCNA (and my head hurts) and I was curious, who uses what?
Serial communications via the XServe's serial port (caveats apply) or a USB to Serial adapter is a very useful thing. You can, for instance, configure your Cisco routers via a console session.
So the question is: What Serial communication software do you use?
I've got ZTerm working nicely, but it's old and doesn't seem to have been updated in about 3 years. I'm worried an OS update will kill it soon.
I've also had a poke around with Minicom as installed by Fink but with no luck. As far as I can see, there is precious little Mac OS X compatible Serial communication software out there!
/edit. I've found goSerial, but it's still in alpha...
Anyone got a favourite? Experiences? Tips and tricks?
If I can get a good cross section of stuff to play with, I'll have a go at writing a tutorial, but no breath holding, OK?
