Refresh/Load MCX Client settings in Leopard

Does anyone have documentation on the transition from mcxd.app to ManagedClient.app? I'm trying to trouble shoot why my netboot clients aren't picking up mcx settings. The short of the problem is that Im using startupItems to dsconfigldap to the server and I think I need to refresh the settings after the ldap trusted bind. Thanks FR
