Re: Ghost Network Homes(new user accounts) in Leopard

Hello All! I just upgraded my xserve from tiger server to leopard. Clean install. Wipe drive, seperate 10.5.2 download(i never use software update to upgrade my os after a person from apple was telling me the errors from 10.4.9 was creating while using software udpates). I created all my users and "shared" a sparse image so i could trasnfer old user files to the correct homes. For some reason, the image(back up) of what i had wouldnt let me change permissions, so i had to log in as every user and map the drive, and then transfer their stuff. For some reason, this stoped working and i had to resort to sharing it and making automount... THIS IS WHERE IT MAKES THE SHARED FOLDER A NETWORK HOME. MY PROBLEM IS... I unshared this "network home" and unmounted it but when i create new users... it still showing that this is still a current network home!!! Even though its not there anymore. HOW DO I DELETE THIS?!!(i cleared the cache, did a couple reboots, its still there) In tiger server, i was able to go into sharing, and delete "unshare" and it would be gone after i refresh.... but this is not happening... i know this is small to some people, but to me its a "messy server". I like my servers nice and clean, neat!! Im thinking about reinstalling leopard server,(erasing the drive) and then just make the useraccounts just like i did, and they will already have their stuff there(its on another drive) please help! thanks!
