Quicktime Installer Error

I am trying to manually install Quicktime onto a Retail Image of Leopard. All other programs will install but I was wondering if someone could help me get around this error? sudo installer -pkg Desktop/BaseUpdates/04/QuickTime755_Leopard.pkg -target /Volumes/macHD -verbose installer: Cannot install on volume /Volumes/macHD because it is disabled. installer: QuickTime can only be installed on the currently booted volume. To install QuickTime on a different volume, change your Startup Disk to that volume and restart.
