Printing from Mac OS 9 Client

Is it possible for a Mac OS 9 client to print to a non-Postscript printer through an OS X Server print queue? My Xserve is set up to print to an HP6L and an HP1220C, using HPIJS and ghostscript. But is there any way to "fool" the Mac into seeing theses printers as PS printers/ Thanks, Steve
