Portable Home Directory only Snyc on login

Server 10.4.9 / Clients 10.4.9 We recently turned PHD to sync on login/logout and the login function works great but as students logout the Sync never takes place. We flushed the MCX, created new test accounts, Groups, and computer lists. Any Ideas :question:
