OSX.2.1 as PDC

I tried following through the documentation on this site to get X setup as a PDC using X.2.1, but am unable to get my 2000 or XP boxes to connect. Anyone know if there are big enough changes with 10.2.1 from the 10.1 versions that will need some tweaking with the process attatched: https://www.afp548.com./Articles/system/sambapdc.html If anyone can provide some help or update the documentation that would be great. What kind of setup is needed for the open directory too?,. thanks
