osx server 10.2.6 -> 10.2.8

anyone done this upgrade problems? i have understood that at times apple's upgrader packages over-write config files you might have spent many sweaty hours making, even though you have followed apple's rekommendations to the "T". if i then backup my old config files, upgrade and replace the new config files with the old - maybe things fall apart...? so - any input?
